East Hendred Heritage Trust are running a photographic competition for
2010. Entries are to be a series of 4 photographs taken around East
Hendred throughout 2010. Entries to be submitted in January 2011 with an
exhibition of entries and announcement of winner in February 2011.

May 2010

Gift Day
Saturday 22nd May at 2:00pm at St Augustines, East Hendred
On the Saturday closest to our patronal festival,
we invite all parishioners to visit their Parish Church
and contribute to the considerable cost of its upkeep.
Cream teas, trips up the tower, bell ringing, children's trail through the church.
Come and support your local church!

1st Cuckhamsley Scout Group OPEN DAY
Your chance to find out what your local Beavers, Cubs and Scout
groups get up to!
We are holding an OPEN Day at Ardington Sports Ground on
Sunday 23rd May, from 11:30 am to 3:30pm.
Everyone is welcome, and entry is FREE!
We will be running lots of activities, fun and games for
everyone to join in throughout the day; this is your chance
for you and your children to see what we do – or maybe you are
an ex-Cub or Scout and would like to see if things have changed?
The bar will be open and food available to buy – see you there!

Summer Fete
A traditional English Garden Fete in the beautiful gardens of
Cowdray's, Cat Street [to be confirmed]. Tea and cakes,
stalls and games for all the family.
Saturday 5th June 2010 at 2:00pm

Stop Press - A Ritzy Tea
A taste of the highlife will be arriving in East Hendred
in the form of an old fashioned High Tea with a
selection of finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream,
a variety of cakes and a choice of Indian and China Tea.
Organised by the Hendreds Women’s Institute the tea will be
available 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Snell’s Hall on
Sunday, 6th June at a cost of £5.00 per person.
Why not work up an appetite with a stroll around the village
by starting and ending at the hall –
tour maps will be available at Snells Hall on the afternoon.

and tickets will be available on the day.

If they are more than two weeks or so ahead,
they will first go into What's Coming
and then be transferred to What's On for the last
couple of weeks before they happen.
