The East Hendred Scarecrow Trail

The Scarecrow Trail was organised to raise money for the Youth Group. The scarecrows were on display from 24th August until 4th September and the competition was a great success!
Fifteen magnificent creations, on the theme of nursery rhymes or popular stories,
appeared in gardens all around the village, and gave absolute delight to people who
followed the trail and voted for their favourites.
As you can see from the photographs, choosing the best was not easy!
Perhaps people's choices were influenced by which scarecrow resembled the picture of the character they had in mind from when they were little.
Thanks for your efforts and congratulations to everyone who made these wonderful characters and gave us so much fun!

Next year's theme will be Fairy Tales.
