The East Hendred Scarecrow Trail 2009

22nd August to 5th September 2009

This year's theme theme was History.
From St George to Mother Theresa,
via Marilyn Monroe and Neil Armstrong, famous historical characters
took over the village, and brought almost to life the greatness and
goryness of the amazing past.
Once again, a highly imaginative and skilled group of people have
provoked thought and laughter and brought delight to all who
saw their work.
Congratulations to the winners,
thanks for the fun to all who competed,
and well done to the folks at
East Hendred Entertains and Hendred Heritage,
who make our village even more fun by making
this fine traditional event happen!

For 2010, the theme is "Characters from Books" and
will run from
Saturday 21st August to Saturday 3rd September 2010
