This a traditional small village school with an average 115 pupils.
Most of the children attending the school come from East or West Hendred and the other outlying villages such as Ardington, Betterton and Lockinge.

In addition to the specified activities in literacy and numeracy, the school maintains a well balanced curriculum. Specialist teaching is available in P.E, French and Music.

Frequent drama productions also provide the opportunity to celebrate the children's work in Music and Drama.

The school also offers a very popular and well managed after school club.
